Job Overview

To set up and prepare for private dining and corporate events within our Conference & Banqueting department. Take food and beverage orders, serve food dishes according to the menu of the day and the direction of the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Supervisor, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments if drink service. Assist in the maintenance of the Banquet area and equipment.

Assistance with accommodation provided.

Must be available to work Monday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm all year round.

Minimum requirements

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
  • Ability to provide legible communication
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to understand guest's service needs
  • Ability to access and input information into POS system
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to multiple guests within any given period of time, ability to focus on details
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests
  • Ability to maintain good coordination while preparing and serving orders
